Anybody remember the days before Warhawk was all about tilting things a leedle bit to the left and then tilting them a leetle bit to the right? Perhaps you remember the days when you could walk into your local store and actually pick up a proper shoot-em-up from the shelf… if you do, then you might just recall Firebird’s Warhawk – a shooty shooty bang bang game that all said and done, wasn’t too bad.
We’ve already seen one remake of the game in the past (yeah, sorry – it’s currently offline so no linky) but what happens when one of the original authors sits down to not only remake the game but remake it for the Nintendo DS? Why, you get Warhawk DS of course. Blimmeny.
Now with graphical assistance from forumite and scary faced avatar man, Lobo (also one of our competition winners, who’dathunk it?) we’re quite anxious indeed to see how the end product turns out… so far it’s looking like it’s coming on rather lovely.
Which is nice.
You can follow the updates of doom either on our forum or over on the authors home page where you’ll also find lots of nice things to keep you occupied from ASM discussion, Palette Editors and well, why spoil everything? Go and take a look yourself.
