Blimey, been rummaging through some of the old posts and collecting together the still active links. What an exciting life I lead.
Well, this didn’t exactly turn into a weekly feature and in retrospect was probably a bit optimistic thinking we could manage that, but hopefully it’ll make it as reasonably regular-ish.
With the rather obvious disclaimers folks that some of these may well be DOS, may well be unsupported/no longer updated and in a lot of cases certainly may not run quite so hot on modern computers lets take a look at the stuff we covered in the early years of RR’s life thanks to the old boss, [JJ].
Hit the jump for the first couple of months in quick link form:
gElite: Remake of Elite that morphed into an open source space trading roleplay thingum.
SFLIU - Street Fighter II~ish
The Jumpman Project – That’s the ol’ platformer game, in case you’re a silly.
Snake – Slippery Sid-esque now Nokia favourite.
Dash – That thing with Rockford in…
Marble – Marble Madness.
Partition Sector – Bomberman-esque based on Masterblaster.
Sopwith 3 – dogfighting Sopwithness.
BreakIn – Breakout!
Pong3d – Guess…
JTBlocks – Arkanoid-ish
Justris - Nothing to do with a certain Russian block dropper, I’m sure.
Worms - not that one, more Snake.
Chibi Pong – I’m sure you can work this one out…
Line Wars – Lightcycles Trony Thing
Telejogo 1 & 2 – Pong!
Vigilante – updated a few months ago, even! Blimey.
xInvaders 3d – Space Invaders in 3d
Blitzatron – Robotron Incitti Style
Blitzum – Quantum
Ms Blitzman – Ms Pacman
DeBlitzer – Defender! I’m noticing a pattern here…
Rock N Spin – Repton-ish
Space Rock – Asteroids
Pingy Pongy – I bet you can’t guess again…
Thrust Deluxe – was it really that long ago?
Bletritz – More Russian-ish thrills.
Stupid Snake – A snake, that’s stupid. Allegedly.
Zelda Classic – Still going.
Warrior Dragon – Dragon Warrior, do you see?
Super Methane Brothers – a remake of the Amiga game of the same name.
Tetris Queen – Oo-err
Klass Of 99 – Stone cold classic Skool Daze Remake

Ya know, this just goes to show. You can beg and beg for folks to help you find good games that would work as type-ins, and then the guy who gave your very site life could drop a whole bunch of them in your lap and not even know it.
