You would think that the world would get a little bored of violence, wouldn’t you? There’s a lot to be said for the peace movement. The sit-ins, the tree-hugging, the turning of the other cheek. It’s an oft overlooked course of action in the this world of wants and desires.
Nine times out of ten though it doesn’t get you quite as far as a fist full of knuckleduster and kick like a mule. Oh yes, we’re in beat-’em-up teritory, and they don’t come much more beat-’em-up than the classic Kung Fu Master. Or do they?
Kung Fu 2 is an all new(ish) sequal to one of my favorite arcade games ever and it’s, let’s not beat about the bush, abso-bleedin’-loutly ace.
Once again you’re cast as a ninja-esque black belt killing machine whoes girl just happens to be kidnapped by an enemy who commands an army of highly trained kung fu kicking minions, fire breathing dragons and end of level bosses with just one thing in mind, kicking your sorry butt to Ghandara and back.
This time, though, things are different. You got the magic! Yep, your arsenal has increased massively with the addition of special moves, taught to you by an ancient spirit. How lucky is that?
Knpmaster originaly released this game, albiet in an unfinished form, as part of our big 2008 competition, and well placed it was then too. Now it’s bigger, better, beefier and an even more beautiful. The levels have been re-vamped, the bosses are bigger and stronger and the gameplay is even more intense than previously.
If you were a fan of the original Kung Fu Master, and I know I’m talking to a very large percentage of you here, you do not want to miss out on this.
Go on, download it and then let Knpmaster know what you think about it. Just don’t blame me if you end up down-down-punching the cat after an all night session…..
